The International Journal of Educational Innovations (IJEI) employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, interdisciplinary research. In a double-blind process, both the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed, ensuring that the review is based solely on the quality and merit of the research, without bias related to the author’s background, institution, or field of study.
Submission and Initial Screening
All submissions are first evaluated by the editorial team to ensure alignment with the journal’s broad scope and standards of quality. Manuscripts must reflect original, innovative research that contributes meaningfully to interdisciplinary scholarship. At this stage, the submission may be desk-rejected if it does not meet the journal’s criteria for novelty, relevance, or ethical standards.
Double-Blind Peer Review Process
Once the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to two or more reviewers with relevant expertise. Both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities are kept confidential throughout the process to eliminate any potential bias. Reviewers are carefully selected from diverse fields to ensure that interdisciplinary submissions are evaluated by experts who understand the complex interactions between different domains of knowledge.
Editorial Decision
After receiving the reviewers’ reports, the editors will make a decision based on the overall quality of the manuscript, the coherence of the feedback, and its alignment with the journal’s mission. The possible outcomes include:
Acceptance: The manuscript is accepted with no or minor revisions.
Minor or Major Revisions: The authors are invited to revise the manuscript based on the reviewers' suggestions. The revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers or to new reviewers for further evaluation.
Rejection: If the manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or requires substantial revisions, it may be rejected.
Confidentiality and Anonymity
To maintain the integrity of the double-blind process, all parties involved must ensure confidentiality. Reviewers are not given access to the identities of the authors, and authors will not know the identities of their reviewers. Editors are responsible for safeguarding the anonymity of both parties throughout the review process. Authors should also ensure that their manuscripts are anonymized before submission by removing identifying information from the text, figures, and metadata.
Through its double-blind peer review policy, the International Journal of Educational Innovations strives to promote fairness, objectivity, and rigorous academic evaluation. This process ensures that the journal publishes high-quality, innovative research that spans multiple disciplines and contributes to meaningful advances in both scholarship and societal progress.
